Our Commitment

Our Philosophy of care, aims and objectives

Welcome to Blacklake Lodge Residential Care Home

Blacklake Lodge residential home is a purpose built care home Stoke on Trent, registered for the elderly, physically disabled and dementia client groups, situated near to the village of Meir Heath.

We are committed to providing a high quality residential care home, specialising in caring for and supporting older people within Stoke on Trent and Staffordshire.

Understanding how difficult it is when someone can no longer live in their own home. We strive to enable people to keep their own routines, lifestyles and interests. Making sure our clients enjoy their life in a way that they prefer.

We treat people with dignity and respect. We ensure that people have as much control over their own lives as possible. Our work is shaped by the people we support, rather than the other way around. We support and encourage, but never impose. In particular, we work hard to safeguard people from abuse.

At Blacklake Lodge Residential Home our aim is to provide the highest possible standard of care to all our residents, by providing an environment that they feel is their home. We achieve this by putting in place a number of core things:

Person-Centered Care

We take the time to get to know a resident: their history likes and dislikes – in order to build up a picture of the care and support needed so that they remain firmly in charge of everything.

Fine Dining

Meals are an important part of our day; dining is designed to be a gastronomic and a social occasion to be shared with friends and family alike. All our menus are nutritionally checked and our food is freshly prepared.

Highly Trained Staff

We provide our staff with high levels of training and experience but, perhaps more importantly, a set of values that allows them to empathise with residents and tailor care around their needs, concerns and desires.

Social Life and Leisure

We believe that social and leisure aspects of life are an integral part of care, which should be all about achieving maximum independence and helping people to have some fun!
